Please Touch

I forgot to put these photos up earlier :( Two weeks ago Doug's brother Ben, his wife Amanda, and their kids Nicholas and Lillian, came for a visit. It was nice to see them since I haven't seen them since this time last year. While they were here we went to the Please Touch Museum in Philly which I have never been to but
have wanted to visit for some time now. Jacob LOVED it. It's the only place where he's ever been allowed to wander around wherever he wants, climb on anything he wants, and pick up anything he want. It's not even like that at home unfortunately. So I just let him go wherever he wanted and he was SO happy. He was cranky when we had to go back home. Here are some of this pics I got (unfortunately I didn't get any of him with his cousins, sad day).

Jacob has recently developed a fear of water                     Fortunately he warmed up to it.
so he was bit apprehensive about playing in it
first.

My cute boy looking up at me from the bottom of the log slide.

Chillin'. Each of the lily pads made a different sound when you walked on them.

Grooving on the walking piano. I have some pretty cute videos of him dancing to the music he's making by dancing. If I'm able I'll post them later.

Hard at work playing.

New Blog

For a fun experiment this year Doug and I are starting another blog that will give you a look into an aspect of our life that you may find interesting. Wondering what it's all about? Here's the link.

Merry Christmas!

This year we had a nice low key Christmas. We got up at nine and opened presents. Surprisingly Jakey wasn't that into ripping the wrapping paper but loved his presents. We spent most of the day at Mom and Dad's where we had our traditional breakfast of sausage and waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. Delicious! That evening was spent at home because Jacob has been sick with a nasty cough and needed to get to bed. It was nice to have some one on one time with just Doug and I because this semester we have not seen much of each other. We are so grateful for the birth of our Saviour who we love so much. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too! We love you all so much!

Until We Meet Again

I have never been more thankful than I am today for the Atonement of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know that He lives! Lilly is safe in His arms.

Just call me Jacques

Recently Jacob has been speaking a lot of recognizable words...they're just the wrong language. I swear I hear him say such things as: mais non, froid, boire de l'eau, and quoi. The strange thing is that sometimes they actually fit the situation. Is it just baby talk, my high school French class doing funny things with my brain, or is Jacob getting private tutoring in secret? Only time will tell...

Got Milk?

You probably can't see his little milk mustache but this picture was too cute to not post.

Who me?

I've seen countless pictures like this in my parents' photo albums. The real question is: why was I stupid enough to leave him alone with a box of cereal?
