B-Ball

I took Jacob to the park today to play a little street ball. He dominated the courts.

DUNK!

DUNK!

DUNK!

I am so awesome!

Setting up for a sweet dunk

Jacob, annihilating his foes (foes not shown)

Cooling off with a little tunnel exploring

This might be obvious but dunking balls is Jacob's #1 favorite thing to do right now. The first thing he asks for when he wakes up? "Balls...dunkin'!" I love this kid.

Hooray!!

The past month or so I have been using all my spare time to prepare for my written comprehensive exam - the test I have to take before I am okayed to start the internship for my Master's degree. This past Saturday I took the test and it's all over. Now I can relax (a little bit).

A Visit

Our good friend Derek came out from Kansas City to visit over President's Day weekend. We had some good times, one of which was a trip to Lititz to the Sturgis pretzel factory (the first pretzel factory in the U.S.) and the Wilbur's chocolate factory which is conveniently located 5 or so blocks from the pretzel factory. We all had a blast (especially Jacob). Aunt Shana, Uncle Mike, Aunt Abby and Aunt Bekah also went on the trip. At the pretzel factory everyone got a chance to practice their pretzel twisting skills. As you can see from the pics, Jake was a natural.

Tickle Tickle

Recently Jacob has become extremely verbal. His vocabulary has exploded and he seems to be learning new words every day including: please, more, all done, milk, cheerios, banana, bread, cheese, chicken, rice, moon, outside, car, socks, shoes, pretzel, blankie, water, food, book, truck, train, phone, movie, nose, eyes, mouth, ears, belly, pinch, chair, yucky...you get the picture (I could be at this all day). However, my favorite so far is when Jacob says "tickle tickle" with a smile on his face which means "please tickle me Mommy". The little guys loves being tickled, especially before bedtime when he gets really silly. It would seem he is not like his mother in all things.
