The week before Christmas we had a gingerbread house making party at my place. Mom, Lizzie, Johnny, Abby, Bekah, Shana, and Mike all came over to take part in the masterpiece.

The yard is underway. That Christmas tree in the front was Lizzie's work of art.
The finished product...kind of. We never could get the roof to stay on so here Mike and Doug are holding it in place to get a picture of the finished effect.
A view from the top. Whew! I never knew making gingerbread houses could be so tiring! I was exhausted by the end but we had a lot of fun.

Hey Mimi, I figured out why your gingerbead house didn't stay up, while I was vacuuming. I think you put the roof as the sides and the sides on the roof. Hope that helps for next year.
