All you mothers out there I'm looking for some good advice. I've been trying to get Jacob on a regular sleeping schedule for overnights and naps but all my efforts have been in vain. Any suggestions?
Jacob is still pretty young. Study out in general when he is awake and when he wants to eat and sleep. See if there is any semblance of a pattern and then start working him into it by waking him up if he is sleeping extra long, letting him cry a little before a nap time. I generally don't do much of anything until I think I can't stand it anymore, around 6 months. Shane thinks I am a softy.
Relax, put him in the swing about 10 am, and then feed him at noon. He should be ready for another nap at about 1 or 2. Feedings are very important, but don't overdo.
Ha ha, I like the give up comment! The only thing I really did was keep the house dark when I wanted them to sleep and as bright as I could when I wanted them awake. Good luck!
