This year we had a very wonderful New Year's celebration with family.
Here we are filling ourselves with a wholesome meal of black bean soup before we dig into the junk food.
Needless to say Jacob enjoyed the soup. It was food after all.
During dinner someone yelled "Happy New Year" and Jacob mimicked
them. It was so cute! Then he kept yelling it over and over because
everyone loved it so much. What a ham.
The wreckage of our late night feast.
But even that wasn't enough for Jacob. Here he is making good on his
New Year's resolution to eat more peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
On a more serious note, our celebration this year was especially meaningful because we added a new tradition. Before we started with the more frivolous part of our evening we had a family testimony meeting. I don't often get the chance to bear my testimony to them so I was very grateful to be able to do so. I was so strengthened by all their sweet testimonies. I am very grateful that I am blessed with such a wonderful family. I am also grateful for a fresh year, with no mistakes, where I can try harder to be the person I want to be for my family and for my Heavenly Father.

Happy New Year! I love the new family tradition. With Jacob's (Muldowney) longer hair, he looks just like your dad!
It was fun.
