Doug ordered these for me for Christmas and they just got here this morning. In case you're thinking "what the...?", let me explain. These are running shoes. I love, love, love running. Unfortunately over the past several years I have had problems with my knee and hip which have made it difficult/impossible for me to do so. Over the summer and the early part of the fall, on the advice of some friends who had similar problems, I started running barefoot. This is supposed to help with joint pain. For more info on this seemingly crazy idea see barefootkenbob.com. At any rate, it worked and I was able to run again. However shortly thereafter it became to cold for me to run barefoot. Thus the shoes, which are designed specifically to simulate running barefoot while also giving protection to your soles. I can't wait to use them, or see the looks I'll get on the street :)

Awesome. Once i saw a guy running in those type of shoes but they looked kind of different. They looked more like sock. I was like why is that guy running in socks but then dad explained the shoes to me.
They will no doubt be looks of envy. Happy running!
Those things are crazy looking. I have heard many great things about those shoes though.
